Project Name: Al-Tarabani Restaurant
The Client: Hassan Jeledan
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Project Activity: Identity Design

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Fishing and seafood are one of the main cultures in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. There are many famous and common fishes in the red sea, but the client decided to take the name "Tarabani" which is the Arabic name of Humphead Wrasse fish aka the Napoleon fish. In  Jeddah and coastal cities, the Tarabani fish is a common catch for the red sea and it is quite known for its delicious taste.

After being assigned to this project we tried to explore the Tarabani fish history and studied its anatomy. What caught our attention was its pattern and skin's texture; it was mind-blowing. Immediately, we explored more in-depth options of the texture and traced it which at the end came up as a nice elegant pattern.

The restaurant branding meant to look welcoming and calm, that is why the blue colour comes in to play. The menu is affordable the restaurant interior has a playful and positive atmosphere with a strong focus on Tarabani fish as a symbol to the restaurant.

We were briefed to create a brand guide that would cover a unique set of visual representations for Tarabani's digital and physical media. Our designers, after several sketches and reiterations finalized with the client on this identity guide that aligns perfectly with the Tarabani style of the place.
